Limitations are not walls that confine me, but rather, they are the very structure that allows me to build a new world. Through my paintings, I uncover opportunities hidden within the apparent restrictions of the medium. By challenging convention, I unveil a picture plane that is both a surface and a spectacle. My work is a testament to the transformative power of the imagination—an essential element I have harnessed to activate the picture plane in a holistic and harmonious way.
I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2014 with a BFA in painting. I have exhibited my work at Bread & Salt Gallery, Techne Art Center, Escondido Art Association Gallery, Lux Art Institute, Hill Street Country Club, San Diego Art Institute, and Synergy Art Foundation. Prior to starting my painting practice, I created illustrations for companies such as Bulldog Drummond, American Eagle Outfitters, and Hub Network. I presently live and work in North County, California.
