Limitations are not walls that confine me, but rather, they are the very structure that allows me to build a new world. Through my paintings, I uncover opportunities hidden within the apparent restrictions of the medium. It is in studying constraint and creation that I find my truest voice. By challenging convention, I unveil a picture plane that is both a surface and a spectacle. My work is a testament to the transformative power of the imagination—an essential element I have harnessed to activate painting in a holistic and harmonious way.
I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2014 with a BFA in painting. I have exhibited my work at Bread & Salt Gallery, Escondido Art Association Gallery, Lux Art Institute, Hill Street Country Club, San Diego Art Institute, and Synergy Art Foundation. My work is currently on view at Homesteez in Escondido, California. Prior to starting his painting practice, I worked as an illustrator for companies such as Bulldog Drummond, American Eagle Outfitters, and Hub Network. I presently live and work in San Diego, California.
